TNDG - Day 2, Team D Voting Discussion

[trenchdoting]

[At the heartwarming family sitcom set, Detective Gumshoe calls the team together. He has some papers in hand, having written down the facts so that he doesn't get anything wrong.]

Alright, team! It's time to talk about this whole voting process. I don't wanna lost a single person, so let's review the facts so that we know our options!

[He clears his throat and looks at his paper.]



As you can see on the screen, our team earned a few votes. Prosecutor Sahdmadhi and me each got one vote. And Corrin over there got a whopping three votes! Let's hear it for Corrin!

[Gumshoe gives a moment of enthusiastic applause, regardless of whether or not anyone joins in, before he continues.]

Doing the math, that means our team has five votes altogether. And there's eight of us! So even if we used each vote for a different teammate, that would still leave three people on our team without any votes. Seems pretty bleak, doesn't it? Well it doesn't have to be, pals!!

That's where Miss Washington's idea comes in. She pointed out that some of those other teams have more than enough points. Especially that Team E! They've got 15 votes between 8 people. If we can get just a few people from other teams like that one to use some of their votes for us, than that'll save us all!

I happen to have a friend on Team E, too. Miss Maya Fey! She has an extra vote, so I'll ask her to use it for one of us. And if anyone else knows people from other teams who can help us out, now's the time to speak up!

[He takes a breath and then sums it up.]

So basically, the three of us with votes have to settle on who we're voting for. Then, for whoever on our team doesn't get voted for, we'll try to get friends from other teams to use their votes for them! Got it?! Now let's all do our best and figure out how to get us all through this alive, pals!

[incantory]

A royal what?

[trenchdoting]

Detective, pal!!

[incantory]

What is that?

[trenchdoting]

You know. A detective!

[incantory]

No, I don't. What is a detective?

[trenchdoting]

[He narrows his eyes.]

Hold on just one second, pal!!

...Are you saying you don't know that a detective is?!

[incantory]

That is what I'm saying, yes.

[trenchdoting]

Oh. Well why didn't you just say so, pal?!

Detectives are officers of the law who solve crimes and arrest bad guys! How can you have a kingdom without guys like that?!

[incantory]

We have soldiers who do that.

[trenchdoting]

But that's not the same! I bet they don't even have their own stylish trenchcoats!

[incantory]

I suppose those sent as spies would be wearing regular clothing.

[trenchdoting]

I guess that's close enough. But with me as your royal detective, they'll really know what it's all about, sir!

[incantory]

What is?

[trenchdoting]

Policing! Wearing trenchcoats! Et cetera!

[incantory]

Let's focus on figuring this game out first, then.
