TNDG - Day 2, Team D Voting Discussion

[trenchdoting]

[At the heartwarming family sitcom set, Detective Gumshoe calls the team together. He has some papers in hand, having written down the facts so that he doesn't get anything wrong.]

Alright, team! It's time to talk about this whole voting process. I don't wanna lost a single person, so let's review the facts so that we know our options!

[He clears his throat and looks at his paper.]



As you can see on the screen, our team earned a few votes. Prosecutor Sahdmadhi and me each got one vote. And Corrin over there got a whopping three votes! Let's hear it for Corrin!

[Gumshoe gives a moment of enthusiastic applause, regardless of whether or not anyone joins in, before he continues.]

Doing the math, that means our team has five votes altogether. And there's eight of us! So even if we used each vote for a different teammate, that would still leave three people on our team without any votes. Seems pretty bleak, doesn't it? Well it doesn't have to be, pals!!

That's where Miss Washington's idea comes in. She pointed out that some of those other teams have more than enough points. Especially that Team E! They've got 15 votes between 8 people. If we can get just a few people from other teams like that one to use some of their votes for us, than that'll save us all!

I happen to have a friend on Team E, too. Miss Maya Fey! She has an extra vote, so I'll ask her to use it for one of us. And if anyone else knows people from other teams who can help us out, now's the time to speak up!

[He takes a breath and then sums it up.]

So basically, the three of us with votes have to settle on who we're voting for. Then, for whoever on our team doesn't get voted for, we'll try to get friends from other teams to use their votes for them! Got it?! Now let's all do our best and figure out how to get us all through this alive, pals!

I don't know anyone else here, but I talked for a bit with Maya and Kokichi on Team E. They seem really nice, I'm sure they'd be willing to help.

Maya Fey's definitely legit! I can talk to her. If someone can get that Kokichi person to help too, that'd be even better!

...I know Sonozaki-san on Team B. We come from the same village.

[ Hanyuu shuffles awkwardly. She. Should probably at least warn her teammates of what Shion is capable of. That's a disaster waiting to happen. But she still feels bad talking about her friend behind her back, regardless of safety. ]

This is a bit off-topic, but it's very important, so I'd appreciate it you all would listen for a moment. [ .... ] Sonozaki-san is very ill, right now. She has a serious virus. It will not be contagious to you, but please be careful around her, regardless. It seems that she's recovered a little since her arrival here, but a complete relapse is possible.

Oh my gosh! Is she going to be okay?

I cannot say. As long as she keeps stress-free, she should be stable...but you can see how that will quickly become impossible.

Could you elaborate on this virus? What are the signs and symptoms that would indicate a relapse?

[Gumshoe listens carefully, and with concern.]

Yeah? Now that sounds troubling, pal! Should we find medical attention for her?!

I assume one or both of Leo's retainers will cast a vote for him, so that is one of our team we do not need to account for. Please correct me if I am wrong in this assumption.

If there are no objections, I would like to cast my vote for Miss Washington.

I am Beatrice, the Endless, Golden Witch. ...I'll skip further introductions for the sake of explaining who I know.

A few decades ago, a madman by the name of Ushiromiya Kinzo contracted with me. I would provide him with ten tons of gold in exchange for his soul. Unfortunately that was not all he decided he wanted, and I was imprisoned by him with his magic for some time. Faced with no other choice, I've been haunting their family until a time such that I could fully revive myself.

His second-son, Ushiromiya Rudolf is here, as is Ushiromiya Battler and Ushiromiya Ange, who are his two children.

Ushiromiya Natsuhi, the wife of his first son, is also here.

I imagine none of them are inclined to be kind to me. Ahihihihihihi.

Gumshoe, you are kind to gather this observation and to wish to share this with us. Thank you for your work..

I promise to do my best to keep this momentum for the team. [A bow to be courteous. And he wants to win next time! Determined dragon is determined. ]

I regretfully have to say that Leo's retainers seem have plans... Odin seems to be voting for Lucina in his team. He wishes to help his cousin. Niles will be voting for Nina in team A, he's using the other to trade, and the other for Odin. So I will take up voting for Leo.

Aoi from team E will be voting for me. So don't worry about me.

My other two votes are open to suggestions.

Aw... Thanks, pal! I just did my best, and for once it actually paid off! [He grins proudly, practically blushing at that compliment.]

It's not too bad that Leo isn't already taken care of, because at least you are! That still adds up to one less vote for us to worry about.

As for who else you should put your votes towards... Think of the civilians!! How about Hanyuu and Kimi?!

Oh right... While we're warning each other about things aside from the votes, I should throw in my own!

See... The thing is, a few of other people here are murderers from my world who are supposed to be locked up tight. But now they're on the loose here in this place!I still handcuffed one of them, though. It was pretty cool!!

Anyway, their names are Matt Engarde, Simon Keyes and Calisto Yew. As far as I can tell, they haven't been up to trouble yet, but it's still something to be careful if you end up dealing with any of them!

I've killed my fair share of people, [ which... he doesn't feel bad for, at all. ] so I suppose it's best to get that out in the open.

I'm assuming the laws in my kingdom are different from yours, however. My father's orders are law, and anybody who opposes him will meet death.

Thank you for this information, Detective Gumshoe. It begs the question of how they were freed and placed here if they were locked away, but that is speculation for another time.

Even if they do not physically bring harm on anyone here, it would be wise to keep watch on them. At the very least, we should expect them to be untrustworthy when it comes to voting.
